Yea, u can take teh bulb outta the cel, or jus crunch it with a screwdriver <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> And if you live in a state that does yearly emissions checking (either visual only or tailpipe probe) you will fail. Why? Well, the ECM monitors the check engine light circuit. If the bulb is removed or burned out the ECM will set a trouble code of P1693. As soon as the inspector sees this eyebrows will go up.

a simple thing like this could help. I've passed sniffer tests (non sporty) by knocking out the 1st cat, installing cheater (hidden under factory loom), and using a high flow cat muffler...
