Perfect. Thanks Paul223 and acy76. Just what I needed to know--didn't want to burn my solenoid up by feeding it too much juice. But if it can handle the 12v that feeds the coil, I should be good to go.

Maybe someday in the glorious future, I'll get around to putting a mechanical shutoff on there
