One difference to consider is how the fuel is metered. I don't think there's much difference in the burner, but there could be something that moderates how much air is mixed with the fuel. You'll alreay have your liqid fuel source in the gas tank on the truck. I don't think you'll be able to convert from unleaded/white gas to propane for technical reasons, may not be worth the time or messing with safety issues.

I agree. White gas and propane have totally different characteristics. The regulater,mixture control,size of plumbing,and burners will probably all be different with the two different fuels.
