Hey guys, I just had a bad start to the day. I was on my way to a job interview and notice a clicking/rubbing sound coming from the engine. I didn't think anything of it and continued with my day. On my way home I noticed it again. I got about a block away from my house and the squealing began. It died. I started it, it died. So I started and gassed it home. I pooped the hood and smoke bellowed out from the engine, and notice the belt for Alt/Fan/Crank was twisted and tangled around the fan clutch. The PS/Fan/Crank belt was half melted and I pulled it off. AC belt has been off for some time. The Alt and PS Pulleys seem fine but the pulley that the fan clutch is connected to does not move by hand. Any suggestions? What is the specific name for the pulley? Thanks for the help fellas.

Well I found out it is the "Fan Bracket Assembly" and the deal sells them for a little over $500. I found another place that sells a new after market one for $250. Anyone found one cheaper? and is this hard to replace? it doesn't look that hard of a job.

This is a fairly common problem with the toyota V6 along with the headgasket.I got one for 175 new at a wrecking yard. You could try ebay I've seen some on there for less then 100 shipped but I dont know about the quality. As for replacing it the job is easy as long as you have basic mechanic skills it should be no problem. Here is a link to a factory service manual if you need help http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-buchanan/93fsm/
