I did it but it started to fail when the centre spindle(if that's what it's called) started getting dry cos the welding wasn't perfect and there was a hole in the back plate welded on. Grease wasn't packing in properly. I went back with a proper idle arm and a bracket to hold in in place. Moreover with the steering box, I noticed there was more wear and tear in the other steering ball joints than with the idle arm.
