Hello, Earlier in the year, i installed an ARB compressor into the trooper. Lately, I seem to be having an issue with it. I flip the switch and it kicks on to fill the little tank on it. After it reaches pressure and the pump turns off, it wont come back on. I think it tries to, but it ends up blowing the in-line fuse. Anybody have any thougts as to what is causing it? Thanks

I don't have an on board compressor, so take this FWIW...
Whenever I have a compressor plugged in to run nail guns etc. & it blows the breakers when it kicks in, it's always due to being plugged in to a circut that doesn't have enough amperage. I would assume this would work the same on a 12v dc system.
Just my FNG opinion.

Hmm. I'll check that out. The weird thing is that it worked fine for a while. I've got a question in to ARB, just waiting for a response.

It may be that your compressor is overheating, either because of an internal problem or because of where you mounted it.
Do you have the quick disconnect for inflating tires? If so, open the hood and then turn on the compressor. Use the disconnect to drain the tank to see if it will activate then. If it does, then you likely have an overheating problem.

Yeah, no kidding huh? Crazy thing is that I saw you more when I lived in Yakima 6 years ago. I went to walker valley a couple of months ago. IT was tough.
Anyway, back to the subject. I get a reply from ARB. I'm sending it back to them for a replacement.

I live about 1 mile from where you turn off Highway 9 to go to Walker Valley.

I just replaced mine. It overheated on my last run, and it melted at the first big connector leaving the ARB unit. I ended up replacing it, and redoing all the wiring while I was at it. I got 9 years out of it, so I'm not complaining.
