Any H4 rectangular headlight of the right size will work:

Basic decision is between DOT and E-code housings. Then run whatever bulb you want, I use a 55/100 watt plain white bulb in Hella (DOT) housings.

i have something similar to these lights on ebay but mine are the e-code headlights with day time running lights. they looked like stock but you can put brighter bulbs into them. i had the silverstars before and its a little brighter than them.

Body Damage is Cool
Cibie, Hella, Phillips, GE, Sylvania. I've run all these, plus some others, in the 86.

Hands down winner, the Phillips stock DOT halogen lamp. It threw the most light, and in the most effective manner. Biggest draw back was the short lifespan. Phillips bulbs burn out in a matter of months.

The Cibie lamps were the most disapointing. E-code lamps. Yet the light pattern was poor with a large black hole straight ahead.

All these comments apply exclusively to large rectangular headlamps. The results I've seen with other configurations were different.

I like the IPF replacements I got...wide, even low beam, and particularly the wider than usual high beams. Better for off-highway, and in town to see signs and overhead stuff than the narrower, laser-beam brights I had on the Hellas I had in another car. IMO, of course.
