A twist on the question...I've had stock 225-15's, 31's, 32's, and 33's on my Raider in just the last year. I'm liking the 32's for my all around use, but would really like to go with lower gears for both the crawl range loss and for towing. My Raider is stock, no body lift, no cranked bars or lift shackles, some front bumper end trimming by tires only. There may be the infamous [color:"red"] X [/color] while geocities processes my photos...

I used the combination of widths to keep the same amount of exposed tread outside the fenderwell. The Raider drove nicely on the 33's, wasn't too loose in the corners, and best of my combos in the dirt. With my tools and no 5.29's, the 33's are too big for highway use for me.

I think 33's and a 2" body lift are the future for the 85 Montero I'm going to make into the offroad beater, along with lower gears for the t-case and axles, but this a is medium priority project.

Do you have any close up pics of those 32's on the stock rims? Did they bulge past the lip a lot? I'm guessing 32x10.5?

This is as close as I have right now. The tires are 32x11.5 Sport Kings. They do not extend past the wheel well at all in front or rear. The rears stuff all the way, but the fronts rub the inner fender well...but I haven't adjusted the stops yet.

This combo would probably be best on 7 or 8-inch rim widths, but I used what I had empty rim wise. The wider rim will center the tire differently. The 33's I've run did not rub during suspension cycling, unless I was crossed up with a load of dirt (8 5-gallon buckets) for lab samples on one of my jobs. The reason I have shot photos of the Raider "flex" is so that I can judge/imagine how my suspension will perform crossing bumpy haul roads, going over curbs, etc.

Great looking truck! that is exactly what I am shootin for! Do you get any rubbing in the fender wells or do the tires stick out past the fender lip?

Not the best pic but...31X10.5 om 15x8 rims. torsions cranked, tires are a little stuffed. Plenty of room for more rubber.

With stock rims and T-bar crank I get NO rub. They don't stick out at all on the alum stockers. I put 1 1/2" wheel spacers on the truck to stick them out a bit. With the spacers the truck looks perfect. I thinks it handles corners better. I think these trucks look great with 33's. I do get a little rub on front rubber bumper ends with spacers but very minor..
