I can be coasting to a stop in 2nd or 3rd gear, and then when I put the clutch in and brake to actually stop, the rpms shoot way up. As for the butterfly, today when I looked at it I poked it with my finger to see if it would close up with a little help, and it just sprung back open every time I pushed it down.
