I own a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2L. The alternater pully bearing went bad on it so I went and bought a new alternater after having the old tested ,just in case,( it failed ) at Autozone and changed it out myself. After I hooked all the wires and grounds up to where they were supposed to go, alternater mounted correctly, belts tight and battery reinstalled, I started the truck. Everything seemed fine. Sounded good. BUT...the battery and brake dash lights are constantly on. And the 4WD indicator light is staying on also. I am getting 11 volts on the voltometer and it appears afer a couple days of driving that the battery is most definatly not charging back up. This is the first time Ive had a problem changing an alternater.
Has this happened to any of you guys before? And any ideas? Im going to check it over again. I just dont know what the hell it could be at this point.
