Hey strawmyers...I took your advice and pulled the new alt and brought it back to be tested. Surprise surprise,it failed! Since that was the only alt they had that I needed, they sent me off to another Autozone 12 miles away for another one. When I got there, the old geeze behind the counter informed me that this one was also the only one they had and that this one wont fail me. And I said," yuh, your gonna test it before I leave Bud." He looked at me like I had two heads and said OK like some old grouch. Surprise surprise...that one failed too!! They gave me my money back and I went to Napa and bought theirs. They tested it for me because they could tell I was out of patience. It was a keeper. I went home , installed it and now everything works. And I'm getting 14.5 at the voltometer <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
