It sounds like it's meant to plug inline with the power outlet in the cargo area. I finally got around to trying this. As mentioned in another post I don't have an outlet in the cargo area so I ran a wire from the accessory outlet fuse to the power connectors for the amp. I made a BIG MISTAKE somewhere. When I turned on the ignition it melted the wire I ran and nearly set the Rodeo on fire. I saw the smoldering and shut it down immediately but what a sticky mess. No other wiring was damaged (and I inspected carefully). It also didn't blow the fuse I had it attached to. I have no idea at this point what the problem was. Any ideas? I ran a ground wire to an existing Isuzu ground. I used a wire that should have been heavy enough (and that I have used for other projects with no problem). I clearly overlooked something but what? Thanks! - Jim
