Very new to diesels and want to learn more what is a MUA5


The MUA5 is the transmission model designation. Isuzu used these in the 1988-199? (not earlier, I believe...) Trooper as well as other models - other members could elaborate on the trucks these were fitted to.

There are different MUA5 case castings designed to bolt to different engine offerings, as these were used behind 4-cylinder gas and diesel engines as well as various V6s.

Someone please correct me if I am mistaken in any of this.
