Getting the Wheeling Fever
Ok so....i swapped out the rear 4.10 diff for a factory 4.88 diff, made a huge difference to the perfomance of the 22re, very happy. So im in the middle of swapping out the front diff. So far i have taken out the front diff from the truck. The one that i am replacing it with has an ADD system in the extension tube.
Problem #1 The extension tube on the ADD diff came off pretty easily, but the side gear is still in the ADD diff and it looks like i'll have to take it out before i install the new oil seal. Any tips on how i can remove the side gear?
Problem #2 Ive unbolted the extension tube from my non ADD diff and i cant get it off, it comes out a little and it just spins, how can i remove it so that i can bolt my extension tube from the non ADD diff to the ADD diff.
Thanks in advance.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Phew finally completed install of factory front and rear 4.88 diffs. Front diff was PITA to install, there had to be a better way to install it other than the way i did. My biggest problem was making enough room for the 6 bolts of the cv axles to line up with the side gears, Haynes manual makes it sound so simple 'just take these bolts out to remove and install is reverse'...yeah right! Is there a trick to this install? I ended up pulling one of the steering knuckles off and then pulling the cv axle out to make room for the bolts to slide into the cv axle, made me want to throw up . Its all done now though, but just incase i have to do it again i would really like to know an easier way.
Thanks for the all the help, 4x4wire.com rocks!

You can press out the studs and replace them with bolts to make it easier to change the CVs next time.
