yeaahhh.....those pipes don't go to your egr system. they go to your air injection system.

anyways, i just unbolted them from the smog pump when i put my headers on. i didn't want to risk breaking anything. only took a couple of seconds. but i used a flex head gear wrench, idk how easy it would of been w/ a ratchet. i also have a 2" body lift which makes things easier. although i did chose not to unbolt the clamp from the back of the cylinder head b/c i didnt want that back plate to start leaking.
