I have no idea if you can buy the wrench from the dealer. Most likely, as I recall there is a tool number in the FSM for it. I am scared to know what they would charge....

Maybe your buddy can "liberate" one for a weekend from work, he works there, they have to have one, they don't work on weekends, it will just be sitting there doing nothing anyway, put it to use??

I like Snowtoy's wrench better than mine. Quality looking fab job for quick use. I did not have access to a welder at the time, so, I bought a piece of 6" wide, 1/4" thick flat stock at the salvage yard for cheap, used the factory V-belt pulley that mounts to the front of the balancer as a template, drilled 4x clearance holes for the M8's that bolt into the balancer, then used a 2 1/2" hole saw in the middle to allow access for a socket to get on the crank bolt. You cannot go smaller than 2 1/2", as the balancer has four cast in "ears" sticking out the front of it to center the v-belt pulley that bolts to it. Use the v-belt pulley as a guide.

Mine was 20" long, it could be as long as 24" and work fine (the 20" scrap piece is what I found). Rest it on the frame rail on the D-side, then you can torque to your heart's content.

I would post picks, but I lent it out to a friend for a six pack of beer (Mendocino Brewing Company, Eye Of The Hawk). If I lend it out once more, that thing is bringing in money, or, beer!!!

Well, i could try to have him do that, but the thing is, were both T-TEN (Toyota-Technical Education Network) students. after my first two months in school, im coming back to work at longmont toyota . the thing is, if he gets caught, he could lose all of that. then, he'd most likely let on that he wasnt alone, and id get screwed out of the program. so, i think ill just try to figure it out.

oh, and yes, it should be 262000_yota . she rolled over this morning on the way to school.
