I know this sounds odd, but see if you can help me out....
Engine was rebuilt about 2 months ago--almost 2k miles.
Runs really good---no problems, however I developed a small leak around the rear of the valve cover (thought it was oil pan gasket and/or rear seal and replaced both)...
So I pulled the cover and found an extremely dry lookig top end---barely any oil on the rockers, or top of the head for that matter....
So, I know this will be messy--done it before-and cranked it up with no valve cover---whoa, no oil coming up from the pushrods---none, at idle , at 1k rpm,2k rpm--nothing!.
Usually a big mess by now...
What gives?--I have 20 lbs pressure at idle cold, and 40-50 at speed warm...No lifter collapse --not even a tick--I can't see how it was even leaking in the first place...
What could this be---a stuck pressure relief valve??-Is this normal?

What do you guys think?
