Hmmmm it usually squirts oil everywhere don't it? We used to cut the very top out of a valve cover and install it before adjusting valves... doing it thataway caught most of the oil that was pouring out the top of the rockers. Do those rockers even HAVE holes in the top? If not then that is the reason for the lack of oil spray. If you had low pressure the lifters would have complained by this time. As hard and smooth as the parts are in the top end I doubt they really NEED much oil. Are you sure there is not SOME oil running backwards DOWN the pushrods from the ball-joint at the rocker? If yes then I would not worry about it. As I remember that engine it gets the top end oil from a hole in a main bearing. If that hole was covered by the wrong bearing installed over it you would have no oil at all and catastrophy would already have occurred.
