I don't know about yours, but mine stick out like giant ears, some 6" or so. i have those fugly big truck style on the stainless frame. Hate them.
Only good side is, there are 4 bolts holding them on that are very eay to remove... so i just unbolt 'em if things look like they're going to get tight.
