RE: previous post

Well I 'think' I have narrowed it down. It feels as if the front right shock/strut is dead. Did the stationary bounce test and also really paid attention when driving to what it was doing. So I guess I will try replacing at the very least that front shock/strut first to see if it goes away.

So new question, has anyone ever tried a warranty claim with Bilstein or had problems with their shocks?? I'd LOVE to get them replaced free or at least prorated. They were installed by the dealer that I took delivery from and now have 80k on them. If not, what is the part number for the replacements I should get and where is the best/cheapest place to buy them? Truck is stock suspension with 265/75s on it. Thanks!

hmmm might be sol on the warranty since the dealer that I took delivery on installed them and I think it was just rolled into the purchase price.

So...where is the best place to buy a replacement and should I stick with Bilstein?

Bilstiens seem to cost a premium. Looks like around $80/each for the front. (Still shopping around)

Any other alternatives that would work good? (Pro Comp? OME? KYB? Rancho?)
