Little update. Got my rear disk brakes done. Well I still need to plumb them.

Yes to get the tank up above the frame rails to improve departure. I pretty much just cut a hole in the floor and laid down some foam padding and used the flange on the tank as the main support but I am still going to add some strapping underneath to help hold the weight when it is full.
