I have worked several years in the steel fabrication industry and know that there is a need here as well. Don't know exactly what the pay is but know that it is nothing to scoff at. Once you get several years under your belt you can get your inspector certification and go to work as an independent contractor. That's where you can get some travel in and make good money.
