Justice,

You mentioned some campsite are better than others...

Here's the overview image (taken from the campground site) of the campground with camp site numbers. Which ones should we register for?

When I get home from work I'll check my notes but if I recall correctly 25/24/22 were all good to go with trees and what not plus they kind of have a central area we could use for the nightly campfire. I'll doouble check availability and register tonight and post which one.

Hey guys..

Thanks for the call Ray. I have the weekend free, right now Im making sure I have the funds for gas and expenses.

FYI: Sliders are needed for the more difficult trails. BUT when I lived down in So Cal. Big Bear was like our Holister as far as proximity. I've done nearly everything out there when my Rodeo was bone stock "right off the showroom floor" Granted my Rodeo came w/ a limited slip in the dana 44, but I had no sliders (other than my stock running boards, which actually worked) and my rig had less ground clearance then similarly equipped 4runner or montero sport.
IIRC there are bypass routes for most of the "hard" spots. Then again that was 6-7 years ago Im sure things have changed.

No bypass for this section or the exit which is about the same minus the water...

OK Reservation is made for campsite 24 I reccomend site 22 and 25 so we can all be in a central location. Remamber to book your site for two vehicles so you can share your spot and split the cost if possible. It was $41 bucks for two nights. I think Jon and I will be doubling up on spot #24.

....Just checking the round trip distance so I can calculate fuel/mileage to budget this.

I don't have my Wells Guide in front of me so if you can give an intersection, gate entrance address, etc. that would be greatly appreciated. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Whats your appox. guess on the fuel costs.

Thanks brother. I'll bring you some cash. Do any of your Marines know how to do a camo paint job?
