Body Damage is Cool
Sorry guys but I can not make a final commitment yet <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I am trying to work out other issues before I can go.
I'll have to wait til next week to make a decision.

OK Carlos. Plenty of time yet to go..I'm still debating weather or not to attempt to install my front locker before the trip. I have to finish putting my SWB back together tonight if I make good progress I might pull the front diff assy out of my SR this weekend for the ARB install...Depends on if I can get the carrier bearing I need and get my hands on a dial indicator.

....Just checking the round trip distance so I can calculate fuel/mileage to budget this...

Whats your appox. guess on the fuel costs?
-Ashby

Per Google Maps... 442 mi (about 8 hours 34 mins) from Mountain View...

hmmmmmmm...

442mi/15mpg? = 30 gallons x $3.60? = $108.00 approx.

hmmmmmmm...

Darn tempting pics though!

I booked #21 !!!!
<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
I know Ray's in #22 and I'm assuming you guys have also booked #24 and #25 as listed earlier in the thread. I didn't know if anyone had space but I figured it was safe to go ahead and book another close spot. See Carlos, there's still room for ya.

-- Fixed the CB yesterday, as well as pulled out the rear seats and carpet. Also lowered the spare tire to take a look and decided it had to go somewhere else!?
-- Replacing my FL half-shaft today (to fix Pismo damage <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />)
-- Will also extend diff breather tube
-- Then next on the list are new front shocks (again, to fix Pismo damage <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />)

So Joanna, are you two bringing both rigs or just yours? IIRC Kris doesn't have rocker panel protection... or did he add that recently?

Just my rig for this one. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" />
Kris is still working on upgrades... but I'm sure it doesn't help that I keep stealing his time away to repair and upgrade my Runner as well as attend more trips like this one. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> Not to be cheesey but I hope the Raider doesn't feel left out cause I love that thing. What a great ride.
By the way the half shaft axle repair went very smoothly today, not bad at all. Of course I do have Kris to thank for at least 75% of that project! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
