Need a Spot

To remove the wires behind the switch on the door, do I need to dismantle the edge of the dash?

I went to the Quadretech website and saw a "TJ Dome Light Switch." It looks like a great solution; does anyone know how big of a hassle it is to install?

had: '74 CJ5, '81 CJ7; have: '04 Wrangler, '90 Wrangler (my son's; yes, I'm proud)
