I did a search but did not quite find a relative answer to my problem.

I gotten this truck from my father. I found out routine tuneups were not done on this truck. So i ended up doing so.

As of last week, The Automatic transmission started acting funnny. here are the symptoms:

From a dead stop (red light), and then roll.. the transmission "jerks". Almost seems like it rolls out of 2nd then onto 1st, but even whent rolling out of engaged "Low" gear, it does the same thing.

Another problem "Sometimes" is 3rd to 4th gear change, it slips? RPM goes up until you let off the gas, then in engages in the right gear.

I might note, it doesn't happen all the time. Also, it seems that when the truck is cold (before warming up) this doesn't occur until warmed.

I was reading some posts, and this is what I gathered:

FLuid Flush
Solenoid
Coolant?? (I just cheked and it is LOW)
New tranny <- I sure as hell hope not.

1996 T100 Sr5 - 205xxx miles.

Any help would do. I am a newb to Trucks, and if you mention any sort of Acronym, please do explain what they are.

Thank you very much.
