Fine. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

There pretty much isn't anything available in the aftermarket that will give you both power and economy. It's basically a brick with an underpowered, inefficient v-8.

There is an updated MPFI available for it. It replaced the poppet system used previously. It's possible that you could get both an increase in power as well as economy, but I wouldn't spend $900+ on a maybe.

K&N air filters cause all kinds of expensive problems, I never recommend them.

Throttle body spacers don't help. They cause problems that can only be cured by removing the spacer.

You may be able to find a Hypertech programmer for it. Some people have mixed luck getting better power and better economy at the same time with those.

The bottom line is this; there is no magic bullet fix that will get you both at the same time. There are things you can do that may seem to work for a while, but in the long run you'll pay for it in other ways. Usually, it's more expensive than living with it the way it is.

Quick tip; never buy aftermarket spark plugs for a GM engine. GM engines work really well with ACDelco plugs and not much else. I couldn't tell you why. Nobody seems to know.
