bj i do hafta defend him a bit. sometimes you do get faulty parts, or parts that fail prematurely. you should know this by now. personally i dont think it is a bad idea. by looking at the pic there is a cross bar there that the seatbelts are bolted to that is not cut so the structure isn't copletley gone. all he needs to do is use hammerite or por-15 around where he cut for rust prevention then some sheetmetal and sealer to prevent fires in the passenger area. no big deal. as many stated many foreign car campanies have acess holes, many under the back seat.


Perhaps they do. However the acess holes in those vehicles are NOT on an uneven floor in the middle of a storage space. The covers are fitted and properly sealed. NOT on the assend of the vehicle where a rearend colision might force gasoline into the vehicle..
These covers are out of site and not in plane view where all the UGLY will be seen.
