I've been fighting these things for years. I can't get the chattering to go away. The truck has been sitting for over year now, and I'm finally getting around to fix her. The chain is running heavily on the guides and is making a horrible sound. Has anyone had this problem? I did find the distributor gear making contact with the timing chain cover top bolt, but that can't be it. Notice the slots in guides? The one on the right is pointless because the lower hole isn't slotted. It looks like the things were miss drilled. Any input would help.
