Just because one has very little opportunity to say the following words and I figured you guys would get a kick out of it.

I hit a building. Yup, a building. Big, white, can't miss it. I probably would have avoided it if I HAD BEEN IN THE VEHICLE!!

So, technically, my truck hit a building. I guess I could blame the dog who was in the truck at the time of the incident, but...probably not going to get much traction on that one.

Not a scratch on the truck, but man, that trailer hitch punched right through the wall of the cabinet shop. Tweaked his bench for the chop saws away from the wall and did a number on the siding. Who knows what this is going to cost, so it has been handed over to the auto insurance folks.

So...how was everyone else's Friday?

Michael

I got off work 30 minutes early (last patient cancelled) and loaded up the Amigo last night to go wheelin in beautiful weather today. Didn't break any parts and didn't hit any buildings. So, pretty good.

So, pretty good.

I can't totally complain. I was more in shock. Questions like, is it really my fault if I wasn't in the vehicle? Can I blame my dog, who was in the vehicle? I tried to recreate it and it did not make it out of the lot today and I would have noticed yesterday if my truck was leaving when I got out. This leads me to believe the parking brake popped. It is a ratchet kind of thing to set, but it pops upon release. Who knows, I'll get it taken care of and everybody will be happy, especially the guy with the hole in the side of his shop.

But...the rest of the day was great. Spent the afternoon shooting clay pigeons in the sun with my buddy. And then got to drink some of the best home brew I have ever had with Cee Dub Welch of dutch oven cooking fame. If you are into dutch oven cooking, this is the man. He also has more stories than any man should be allowed to have. I do not know how my old advisor does it, but somehow he ran into CeeDub a month ago and ended up inviting him and his wife to his house for graduation weekend AND brewing a batch of beer in his honor.

Anyway, on the average, it was a good day.
