Spent the day in bed. I'm trying not to spread it to my 2 year old girl as there is only one thing worse than being sick and that's a sick 2 year old

Feeling better, head cleared up and no sinus infection. Nasty dry cough every now and then. For some reason my colds sometimes turn into acute bronchitius. Part of the reason is I just take medicine and keep on trucking till I drop. :mrt

To me a while to figure out it's better to rest FIRST and kick the cold than to live with the cold for a week then end up at the doc.

I have found vigorous exercise is the best way to cure any cold/flu/virus etc. You need to get your body temp up and cook out the virus, i.e., basically inducing a controlled fever. It may seem a bit counterproductive to exercise when you have a cold(most think you will make it worse), but I have never found that to be the situation.

I seem to recall some medical research on an "induced fever machine" to hasten recovery from colds and flu and other virals. I think it was a combination steam cabinet and microwave thingy. The project seemed to disappear rather quickly, though, so I would not try to crawl into the RadarRange and have Billy punch the button.

I agree with the "burn it up" theory. Raise the body temp.

Zicam works for me, IF I take it early. Like just as soon as I feel iffy. Later than that, and you waste the dough.

Ditto fluids. I do best with water+something, like sweet iced tea or gator.

Chicken broth has proven antivirals in it...

My nightime knockout juice from stuff I found in the cupboards.

Hot water
Bigelow Mint Medley no caffine tea
clover honey to taste
Zicam Nightime Cold and Flu
shot Grand Marnier

Wait 30 minutes, have pillow ready

BTW I was trying to do algebra today for my college algebra class after a double shot of Robitussin DM. That stuff dropped my IQ about 40 points
