Interesting. I did some checking on the kiausaparts site. That fan has changed part number quite a few times over the years.

For example:

1995 - 0K011 15140
1998 - 0K028 15140
2001 - 0K01W 15140
2002 - 0K01W 15140 until 6/21/01
2002 - 0K048 15140A after 6/21/01

I have no clue as to what the changes were.

mine broke the blades at 60 thousand kms 7 months out of new car warrenty it took out the radiator + fan gaurd + air conditor pipes and the power steering pipes
i spoke to the local kia dealer and he said there was nothing they could do about it as it out of warrenty it cost me just over 1500 aust dollars to fix and they told me they put a updated fan and clutch as kia had updated the parts
but now when the 8 bladed fan kicks in at about 3 thousand revs it lets out a loud roaring sound then fades away as it cools down
the mechnic said at least you can hear it working
wish i had have gone to a electric fan like everybody else on here has

Good Information!

Where did u get your source?????

Cause according to AXEMAN the 01's used the same part as the 02's?????

Are they specific with only the 02's?

I have read the problem with the fans breaking off and causing destruction about a year ago when I first joined!

Why is it displayed as only the 02's in year?

Mine is a 2002. Shannon already has it scheduled to be done first as soon as the new parts come in.
