I think you are correct in your thinking. Oils in a crankcase are so similiar it would scare you into next week!
I use the oil that is on sale whenever I get my oil changed..
It seems all oil is canned in the same place by the same canning company, these days. So really how much difference can there be when it all comes from the same place?
