FRed all you or I either one have to go on are the ads sponsered by the oil companys..
My personal experience with different brands of oil has told me to use the store brands and to change oil at 5 or 6 thousand miles..
I have used mobil1 and just about any brand you can name... with no SEEABLE difference in any aspect of the engine..
Companys can advertise just about anything they wish...WHO is going to stand up and say they are lieing? With modern. clean burning, low compression engines I see no difference at all in oils.
Specially now that the major oil companys do not mix their own oil.. There are specific companys around the country that mix most if not ALL oil from their stock and ship it in different cans. No longer do you get northern oil in a can marked as such..
