the shop is telling me my stiff steering issue is a killed rack and pinion. could this be so? all i have is strong resistance in left hand turn and mild resistance in right.

took it to the shop today, they wiggled the tires around - front end is tight. so they say "rack and pinion"

the tires were turned from r-l with the front end up and i didn;t hear anything. ther eis no fluid leaking out. everything "looks" normal

thoughts?
