With 178k miles on my 95 Montero SR, my driver's side window regulator broke. It dropped the glass down in the channel and I am relatively sure the cable broke. Does anyone have a source of remanufactured ones? I found a new Chinese? one on ebay but am worried about the quality and durability. I hate to put a used one in. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Others who have replaced them can chime in here but from a quick search I just did, yours is the first I've heard of that failed like that. Most simply have problems because they were not lubricated properly.
If I were you I'd seriously reconsider finding a slightly used Mitsu regulator from car-part or msrecycling.com

Thanks for the input. Anyone else had this happen?
