Just did the front brakes on my '89 PU (with IFS) replacing the right rotor, both calipers and pads. In addition, I flushed the brake lines, both front and rear, with new fluid.

I am noticing a slight pulsing that is more evident at higher speeds but goes away with pedal pressure. If I just lightly apply the brakes I feel it but the harder I press the pedal, the less I sense it. No pulsing in the steering wheel or any other indicators of a problem. I didn't notice it prior to the brake job but I had a shot rotor/caliper so it may have been there before but unnoticed.

Any thoughts??

Could just be the pads wearing in. Could also be that because you replaced one rotor and not the other the difference in thicknesses is a factor. Just throwing ideas out there.

Replace the left rotor also

you should always replace both rotors at the same time

same thing happened to me,,,i used autozone rotors,,,autozone parts are junk,,,i changed the rotors and it was fine,,i could of gotten away with cutting the autozone rotors,,but why buy new rotors and get them cut

did you torque the wheels to the right specifications? we sent my dads tundra to brakes plus <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> for a brake job. two new rotors, rebuilt the calipers, new pads, plus turned the drums and put new shoes on. a month after, my dad started feeling a pulsing sensation in the pedal. i pulled the wheels, balanced and rotated them, and torqued them to the correct 79 ft. lbs. no more pulsing.

I admit I didn't torque the wheels. I did torque the wheel bearings with the preload and torqued it by hand afterward. I'll check it out more closely this weekend if the weather holds.
