I tried to do it that way once on the trail (it is called the "Camo method, he use to change Birfields out in ten minutes). It sucked for me, to heavy and with the arthritis; I have in my hands and elbows it did not work. I do not have to bleed my brakes when I take the calipers because of the way I have it set up. See picture below.
