Make sure the tire can come down too. I clean and lube mine once a year.

Boy that thing took quite a while to come down, so long that it now sits in the back of the rig! Eventually it will sit on my roof rack, figure the only harm is the decreased mpg right? And perhaps a couple spots at Hollister I'll no longer be able to squeeze through... hmmm...

[color:"red"]UPDATE -- I gave in today and purchased a full 33" size spare to match my other 4. [color:"green"]$ $
So I guess it will no longer sit underneath even if I lube it... but I really don't want it under there anyway...

NEW QUESTION -- The rim of my spare is a 10.5" while my other 4 rims are 12.5". Thus I have a 33x12.5x15 sitting on a 10.5 rim. Not a perfect plan, but better than the previous situation with the 31" right? I hope...

1 step forward, 2 steps back.
