Need a Spot
Is there a Lexus(made in Japan?)oil filter available that matches the specs of the stock OEM Toyota 22re filter?
If so, do you have a stock #?
The USA made Toyota filters are ok , but i would much rather have a Japanese made filter.I still have a couple of old stock made in Japan Toyota oil filters that have the plastic seal over the end- these seem to be a much higher quality than the USA made Toyota filters. THANKS AGAIN

I don't see why not. A 2uzfe v8 filter will also fit on the 22re for larger capacity.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
The one I recently bought from the dealership was made in Thailand. Still looked like the old style one's with the plastic wrap on the end.

I know that at Sparkplugs.com you can get the Denso oil filters that are to OEM specs. Not sure if these are exactly the same as Japanese made but they do ahve the plastic wrap on the end as well.

I worked at a dealer. The plastic wrap just protects the o-ring so that the grease stays on. It's a nice touch though.

America's first fourwheel drive was built in Mankato, MN by Ernest Rosenburger in 1908 who founded Four-Traction Auto Co. on Hickory Street. The company though successful closed in 1913.
