I think I need to replace my carburetor on my 1980 4x4 20R. I've had it rebuilt at least a couple of times and my "shade tree" mechanic says it is in pretty bad shape. I asked him to replace it the last 2 times but he hasn't (and there aren't any more mechanics I can find in my area who want to touch an old Toy -- near Vidalia, Georgia).

I've searched the forums and find a lot about rebuilding carbs and replacing 22R carbs but must have missed recommendations on replacing the 20R carb.

Could someone give me some guidance on where/which carb to purchase? I had this thread a couple years ago when I purchased the Toy http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showf...&o=14&fpart=1#Post648275

Also, I discovered that while the "year model" is a 1980, some or all the parts are 1979 due to Toyota's method of setting the year model. I know I had to use the 1979 rotor cap instead of the 1980 rotor cap.

Any help would be appreciated.
