Hey scottie. I have the same tool and I widened the jaws using a little 1" belt sander. I had no issues with strength afterwards. I also sanded a notch on the side of the tool to clear the lower control arm. See pics I quickly snapped this morning. Like others have said, I only used the tool for pre-load and whacked the joint out with a lump hammer. It didn't take much of a hit. Good luck <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
