I could do a set at work, but I doubt they will offer any benifit!

If you take it to a machine shop they will charge you (or at least I would) 5 hours of labour plus mats, for the first piece, than depending on machining time the cost of any aditional pieces would change.

Of the top of my head $500 for the first set, $80 for each additional set with a minium order of 50 units! we are talking just the spacers here.

So yes it can be done!

But i still don't see that it will offer any noticible increase. and you'd might be running into interferance issues with the hood.
