yea that is geared a little bit better than mine..I am at 2900RPM at about 90km/h. you should convince them to put some 33" tires on it and then take it for another drive and see how the transmission shifting is haha. I doubt they will go for it though.

They won't go for that I'm positive. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> Trust me, it was in my head to whole time driving it.

I posted on pocuk and so far got 2 pm's and have been searching... there are many guys running 33's on their 91/92 2.5 Pajero's with the slushbox. I haven't read a single bad thing about them. In fact, the consensus over there seems to be that the 2.5/auto and 33's go well together.

Go figure <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

[Thinks about 33's.. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />]
Is there a speedo pinion that can be changed out to recalibrate the speedo? That was the one thing I never got over was having to "interpret" the speedo whenever I changed tire size in a vehicle that didn't have a comprehensive every-size speedo pinion to fix it with. When I put the police diff in my New Yorker, it was just a matter of going down to the local Chrysler dealer to get a new pinion to put the speedo back within 1% of accurate.

Not sure. There must be one somewhere.

To be honest, I just got used to the 8-10km/hr difference in my Jeep. Depends on the person.

Okay guys...

If you had a choice, what would you pick and why ?

Cloth or Leather seats

I asked and they will swap out the leather seats for color matched cloth one's at no cost.

Cloth ...

or Leather ....

They gave me a choice.

My reasoning for cloth is mostly two things ... summer hot weather I cannot stand leather at all and I plan on taking this Pajero down to Mexico/Costa Rica sometime in the next few years. Leather cracking as well. The leather seats in these Pajero's don't seem to be that high quality or it may be just me. Seems to be very thin leather. The leather in the summer just absolutely <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Anyways... opinions on both from you guys ?

Jesse

A cloth Exceed would be pretty cool, especially if the seats were still heated. I'd say if that's what you want and it's a no-cost option, go for it! The whole reason I'm buying my vehicle is that it's exactly what I want. There's no reason to compromise if you've got the option to spec it out the way you want it. I don't think it would affect resale value at all. IIRC, Lemonaid lists leather along with sunroof and A/C as a +$100 item on used prices.
Do it!

Yeah. I think it's better to have them swap in the cloth seats. It's really what I personally like all-year round.

Are those bouncey seats? You gotta get the bouncey seats. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> They're the best <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> gimmick-y option ever.

Are they all bouncy seats ?

I just got the final word that our strata will be replacing the roof on our condo and after crunching the numbers, I will have to take a 3-4 week break to recoup the deposit on the Pajero with William. Sucks but we made a pact that we wouldn't go into debt since we've gotten out of it. arg.

So a few more weeks of delay... shite. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/oink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/baby.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

So I enquired about the roof rack.

They said that they regularly send vehicles to Canada often RORO and that roof racks to come into play when choosing which boat to ship it, which could possibly delay it.

They recommended to ship without the roof rack as I would have a much better chance to get onto a boat that has space for the norm/lower roof height.

Makes sense to you guys ?

I went for it.

Deposit paid and balance pending my approval of the cloth seats swap.

It will be going RORO (I know..I know.. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> )

Got some more info :

Phil mentioned above regarding the rad fluid. I asked and they pulled the cap while it was warm.

It does come with the winterized pack :

Winterized vehicle
A stronger fuel heater
A stronger starter motor
A stronger alternator
2 batteries
A gas tank door lock

They will not ship the roof rack packed inside so the alternative would be to leave it on which would lower my chances to get it on a boat due to the increase in height. So I told them to leave it off. I'll grab one over here. Less hassle.

Aside from that, I'm hoping 3 months or so but I understand the waiting period.

I'm already searching for a used set of DL's and will be getting everything set for when it arrives.

I hope I'll be happy. When all is said and done, it will be half the cost via buying locally and I'll have the model I was looking for with cloth seats. Only thing missing is the rear diff locker but that's something that can be added down the road.

Any of you guys can think of a reason why I should opt out before I commit ? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
