That's what the fat cow told me. I told her that I called constantly and got a busy signal.

Then another lady came and said there was a cancellation and I can wait 3-4 hours.

I said sure and sat down. Another customs officer saw what was going on and he asked me what I was doing. I told him importing a vehicle from Japan, it's my first time, I apologized for not making an appointment and told him anything I can do to make their job easier, I will do it. After I said that, he did it all in 15 mins.

Goes to show that if you extend an apology and courtesy to others serving you, that you get generally good experiences, which I did in this case.

I'm stoke. Have all the lights, wiring, etc..

Question :

What is the lug nut size ? Do I need a deep socket to get at it ?

Thanks guys.
Jesse

Finally picked it up.

Thanks Duncan for the tire loan. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Pajero looks good BUT it was a smoking vehicle <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

Does anyone know a good detail shop that will get out that smoke smell and do a good thorough job ?

It's at Werner's in delta for inspection as I'm typing this.

Front right caliper needs replacing.

I'm going to do the brakes all around.

I'll start searching on part #/prices for calipers/rotors/pads.

I like it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rodent.gif" alt="" />

Crap.

Just got a call from the inspector.

I changed out the front side lights to NA dot one's, just 'in case'.. but I plugged in the signal bulb and not the other one.

There's two leads/bulbs in the JDM version and only one in the NA version.

I have to go back there and either swap the entire side lights out back to JDM's or plug in the proper plug.

What I'm wondering is this..

Plug #1 - turn signal (flashing) only
Plug #2 - turn signal constant (parking light) only

or is it ...

Plug #1 - turn signal (flashing) only
Plug #2 - turn signal constant (parking light) AND flashing only

Right now I only have flashing lights and not parking lights. So either I need to change the connector to the parking light(constant on) one and hope that it flashes as well or just put back the JDM's.

Opinions before I head back out there ?

Luckily he'll let me swap 'em back.

I'll go there tmrw morning and swap them back in.

The lugs are 21mm: my 1/2" socket goes on there easy, but get a 4way metric t-shaped lug-wrench and then you won't have to struggle in case a tire shop hammers them on.

Thanks Phil. All done.

Inspection went good. All passed (eventhough my front right caliper is near seized <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> )

Insurance was a little troublesome... took almost 2 hrs. girl didn't know what she was doing.

aside from the wait, it was good. she had a good pair of ... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/oink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/oink.gif" alt="" /> that kept me from getting bored. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

It's now officially on the road.

Ordered the caliper's from Ont.

It's funny....

My mechanic who ordered them told me that there was 48 sets on stock and they all sold out in the past week. Someone in BC bought them all. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

wierd...

1 week on order. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/sleeping.gif" alt="" />

Just want to give a thanks to everyone for helping me out.

It's great but just needs a good detailing/cleaning and brakes.

I tried the NAPA USA part #'s in the parts thread but the rep couldn't find them.

Has anyone here in Canada done their brakes yet ?

Caliper's... rotors...pads... if so, what brand/how much and where to get them ?

I'm in desperate need of a front set of calipers. The right one is brutal and the rotor is warped.

If the NAPA #'s aren't crossing, ask him what brand he sells and I'll back cross my #'s to his #'s at work in the morning, if that'll help <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Jesuz.

$390 US for a pair of dual-piston cal's/hw/pads and rotors.

- $110 for cores. That's cheap from NAPA in Blaine.

I'll see if I can get them from there instead.

If that price includes the cores, JUMP ON IT!!!
That's a steal. If it doesn't include the cores, it's still reasonably priced. Glad you're finding what you need <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

$418.81 incl taxes for Left and right full-loaded dual piston caliper's w/pads/hw and a pair of rotors.

Minus $110 (55/ea) for the core returns.

so 308 total. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
