OUCH! Holy cow, man, I'm glad you're still with us! That sure had the potential to go much, much worse. Things will work out one way or the other with the Monty. In the end, it's your life that matters. Give your family an extra hug tonight and be thankful for being given one more day with them.
Best of luck with getting the Monty fixed

Glad you are ok.
That was one nice Montero. What 368k miles something like that. A friend of mine got hit in his 87 4runner. Total loss, not much damage though. He bought it back for something like $150. Also got a check for a couple grand and sold the 4runner for a few more hundred. Not bad.
I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

I hope you made a quick prayer to the 4x4 gods and your trusty little Montero (as well as all the other unnamed Persons) after that incident because it sure seemed like a work of divine providence. Glad to hear you're ok, hope ur monty is doing fine, and show it your gratitude by giving it a nice car wash & wax (if you managed to get it back)!

I got hit last year, she ran a red light,,, my homemade bumper took the front off that new Dodge Pickup.
Her insurance wanted to total it for $1,700.I said no way I'm not gonna have a total?salvage title , that might drive up my insurance , etc., etc.
I made a list of all the improvement and investments , faxed it to them and got $2,300 within a week.
I fixed it all myself with a little help from my friends.
I got real sore and stiff the days following so I went to get some ulta sound. Don't let insurance Co. screw you , that is what they're paid to do.
Glad your OK , get yourself checked out good - Have your Dr. referr you to a physical therapist to get checked out, you don't want something to creep up on you in the years to come.
Good luck on the fix ,,,never ever give up that montero.

Guys you don't know how much I appreciate your words. Indeed, when I was about to flip over I was only praying for nothing serious to happen because I wanted to see my wife Blanca and my kids Gabriela and Sebastian. And indeed I am glad I was driving my Monty, he know that I have always treat him with love. Changed his oil every 7,500 miles (per the owners manual) with the best freshly brewed Castrol 10w40, a good polish and wax twice a year and a bath 8 times a month and as a payback today he treated me like a good friend, he showed all his muscle to protect me and managed to stay away from getting seriously hurt. I am only sore and the doctor said that I will feel the effects tomorrow, maybe more pain but that's it. I have a spasm on my left shoulder and a sprained (spelling ???) right wrist. As for the Monty I went to take some pictures of it at the storage yard where it is been kept by the towing company and it sure don't show serious damage. There is no structural damage and the only damage to the body inner shell in at the corner of the front fender, behind the headlight bezel. As for the car the hit me? you be the judge: [image] Front view of the damage Front closeup damage Left hub From behind Damage underneath Car side view The car that hit me, 96 Toyota Corolla Close frontal view [/image]

What a whiner I am happy that you are still with us Rolando. Sorry to hear about your truck, but no one died and the Montero might be repairable. Perhaps you should paint your Monty a brighter color
You most likely will be sore for the next few days...call into work and relax around the house, the rest will do your body good.
