I have a '93 ex-cab and that little bump in the center of the back seat where the seat belts attach to is really messing up my storage arrangement. I want to cut it out and just sheet it in flat but something tells me that it is probably engineered as part of the crash protection or something. Does anyone know if I can cut it out and still legally pass an inspection? Sure chances are slim that anyone would even notice but I was just curious if it actually served a purpose or not?
