That little bump in the center of the ex-cab. Can I cut it out?

Yeah the cut out is to clearance the gas tank. If you think it's bad in the xcab you should try dealing with it in a standard cab...

If you have a body lift I'm pretty sure it isn't needed, but if you're stock you'd hit the tank if you left it in when you cut.
