http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showf...mp;amp;sb=5&o=14&fpart=1Hi, Pirate can be rough. See this link for a few pic's and detials of my swap. Your 3.0 is already broke and you have plans to keep and built the 4runner. To me that is enough reason to do the swap. My swap experience has been nothing but super. I have more that 6000 miles on it without any negative issue. I have taken it cross country on the highway and it is such a much better experience than highway travel with the 3.0 long distance. nice job ya i picked up the runner cheap because it has a rod knock i just sold my rock truggie and want some thing i could put the whole famliy in i wwas just going to rebuild the 3.0 in it but i have been hearing alot of talk about the 3.4 swap so what a better way to start my plans after that are to put a soild axle under it 5.29's and a 4.7 in the t-case i would like to run 36's to a 38 mtz for the snow i will build tube bumper and rock skids for it also . so now im on the look out for a 98-00 3.4l motor thanks for all the help !
