Well, I was able to get the center console most of the way apart. The 4wd shift lever is getting in the way of removing the leather cover that goes over both levers. The knob of the main lever screws off, but I don't think the 4wd does. I tried a little, but didn't want to force it. Does it really screw off?

At any rate, once I'm able to remove the outer cover, there are still 4 screws holding down the inner rubber boots over the shift levers. It doesn't seem like you would be able to access the plug even with the inner boots removed. Is this even the area I would access the plug?
